Yael
Yael was born in Jerusalem in 1977 and grew up speaking both Hebrew and English proficiently since her parents are American. After completing her high school studies in Jerusalem’s modern religious educational system, Yael enlisted in the Israeli Defense Forces where she served as Commander, Drill Sergeant and Major Drill Sergeant training future female Commanders. Yael began to pursue her career by enrolling in the Tour Guide School at The University of Haifa where she completed the two year program with highest honors. Since the Year 2000, Yael has served as an educator and tour guide for hundreds of groups visiting Israel including birthright israel, Community Missions, Christian Tours, March of the Living, Macabia, and others. Yael also worked at the Archeological Seminars dig site at Beit Guvrin where she specialized in taking groups through the underground excavations. She completed her B.A. at the Open University of Jerusalem in Jewish History and Israel Studies, and has received an M.A. at The Hebrew University in Israel Studies. Yael is currently the Director of the Tour Guide Course at the Yad Ben Tzvi Institute in Jerusalem.
