Joe was born in Baghdad, Iraq but after the formation of the State of Israel the Jewish community in Iraq was forced to flee. He moved to England with his parents at a young age and left the UK for Israel at the age of 16. He later returned to the UK to study and he received his BSc in agricultural engineering from Newcastle University. Back in Israel, Joe studied to become a licensed tour guide, and as a course coordinator with the Israeli Ministry of Agriculture which included guiding the international mission groups in English, French, Hebrew and Arabic. His expertise in agriculture, technology and botany give him the ideal tools to tour Israel’s unique innovative technology dealing with agriculture and the great outdoors in general.Also Joe’s childhood in Iraq and fluency in Arabic, brings a unique perspective to your Israel experience. Exploring the Old City of Jerusalem, Acre and other Arabic neighborhoods is a special experience with this tour guide who speaks the language and is friends with the locals. Joe has an 8 seat Land Rover for off road tours of the entire Land of Israel which is his specialty, and a Mercedes van which seats 7 for touring the entire country.
