Gil
Gil was born and raised in Jerusalem and has lived for the last 20 years on Israel’s very first Kibbutz, Deganiya. He served in an elite paratroop unit as a squad commander and is a medic in the reserves to this day. A graduate of the Beit Berl College, with a B.Ed in the Land of Israel Studies, Gil applied his know how working as a teacher, an educator and a tour guide for the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Tourism, various Israeli schools and a lead tour guide & educator for one of Israels more well known teen and college oriented educational travel operators.
Gil is a veteran of many IDF operations including the Second Lebanon War, an avid basketball player and a Karate instructor. His English is at a mother tongue level and his life as a ‘Kibbutznik’ allows his tourists a unique window into one of the worlds most interesting social experiments. He is a wonderful person and a class act.
